About MYR5
MYR5 (MYR5 Coach) is a free web app that turns bodyweight workouts into a game with a 3D alien coach. It runs in your phone or computer browser and installs from the browser as an app. No app store, VR headset, console or equipment is needed.
How it works
Prop your phone so its camera can see you. Your alien coach demonstrates each move, and on-device pose tracking counts your reps or times your holds. Finished sets level up your coach, unlock rewards and fuel battles in the rest chamber. You can customize your coach and set workout reminders.
The camera can follow 57 movements in 10 groups:
- Chest: push-up progressions, from knee and incline push-ups to diamond and feet-elevated push-ups
- Legs: squats, split squats and wall sits
- Hips and glutes: hip hinges, good mornings and glute bridges
- Core: plank and side plank holds
- Shoulders: arm raises, overhead reaches and unloaded presses
- Balance: knee-lift balance and tree pose holds
- Yoga: Mountain, Upward salute, Chair, Warrior I, Warrior II and Goddess
- Martial stances: horse stance and front stance holds
- Boxing: slow shadowboxing straights and jabs
- Cardio: marches, jogging in place, step jacks and jumping jacks
Counts and hold times are estimates from pose tracking. They do not grade technique and are not medical or professional advice.
